Introduction

Welcome to NUS Libraries' resource guide for Science Communication.

Science communicators develop strategies and methods to encourage informed decisions about the big scientific issues (CPAS). Through effective communication techniques, experts (e.g. scientists) are able to engage and inform non-experts (e.g. public members) on scientific matters and increase the awareness and understanding of science in the society. An informed public has the capacity to think, digest and make sound decisions on the matter of science (e.g. policies) in a democratic society. On the other hand, scientists can communicate their ideas and findings more effectively to each other as well.
