Theses & dissertations are important when starting a literature review of research that has been previously done.

The Library keeps final-year academic exercises (selection only), honors theses, Master's (by Research) and PhD.

Browsing by Departments

Almost all NUS Masters & Phd Thesis & Dissertations from September 2003 to present  can be found online at our institutional repository - Scholarbank@NUS 

Older NUS Masters & Phd Thesis & Dissertations as well as Honours year thesis might be available in print by searching the catalogue. 

Please note, that not all NUS thesis & dissertations (including honours thesis) are available in the library.

For some departments and faculties we only have the older copies and may not have the current ones. Even for departments that continue to send us the latest print copies eg For certain departments in Faculty of Art & Social Sciences, only selected copies will be available in the library.

You can check what is the latest available by doing the following:

In FindMore

1. Enter call number assigned to department (see list below)

2. Select Items in the library catalog

3. Select Dissertation/Thesis

4. Sort by Date (Newest)

Most of the items would be in closed stacks (eg Location : CL Closed stacks), you will have to request the item for collection at the loans desk.
 

In LINC

1. Select Theses (NUS) Collection

2. Select Call Number Library of Congress

3. Enter call number assigned to department (see list below)

4. Sort Reverse Year

Most of the items would be in closed stacks (eg Location : CL Closed stacks), you will have to request the item for collection at the loans desk.
