Introduction

What is a Standard?

A standard is a document that provides technical specifications, guidelines or characteristics on:

  • how materials and products should be manufactured, measured, tested or defined;
  • how methods, processes and services should be managed or implemented

(adapted and consolidated from definitions by ISO, Enterprise Singapore and British Standards Institution)

Standard Number
