The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) Humanities Ebook Collection contains more than 5,700 scholarly books from over 125 publishers. It is curated by scholars for scholars, and is an excellent resource for research and teaching in the humanities and social sciences.
Adam Matthew Databases This link opens in a new window
A suite of digital collections including manuscripts, rare printed sources, e-books and other digitized but unpublished materials such as pamphlets. Databases include China: Culture and Society, China: Trade, Politics and Culture (1793-1980), Eighteenth Century Journals (1685-1835), Empire Online, Foreign Office Files for China (1949-1980), Foreign Office Files India, Pakistan and Afghanistan (1947-1980), India, Raj and Empire, Macmillan Cabinet Papers (1957-1963), The Nixon Years (1969-1974).

A searchable database of digital images and associated catalog data, with new image collections added several times a year. ARTstor covers many time periods and cultures, documenting the fields of architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, decorative arts, design, anthropology, ethnographic and women's studies, as well as many other forms of visual culture. Users can search, view, download and organize images.

An online streaming video collection of about 600 feature films, documentaries, and shorts exploring issues of Asian culture. They offer perspectives and insights on the issues of modernity, globalization, national identity, gender, inequality, etc.
Asian Studies E-Books Online, Collection 2010 This link opens in a new window
A useful database for the study of modern Asia-Pacific. It brings together thousands of full-text reports covering 53 countries on a multitude of business, government, economic, and social issues. Note: This database is subscribed by Yale-NUS College Library
Bibliography of Asian Studies (BAS) This link opens in a new window
The BAS Online contains over 823,000 references to books, journal articles, individually-authored monographs, chapters in edited volumes, conference proceedings, anthologies, etc., published from 1971 until the present day.
Biodiversity Library of Southeast Asia (BLSEA) This link opens in a new window
Containing biodiversity literature on Southeast Asia, BLSEA aims to make the literature available to a global audience through open access principles. It comprises of biodiversity materials from Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) and the NUS Libraries.

The International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS) includes over 3 million bibliographic references to journal articles and to books, reviews and selected chapters dating back to 1951. Scopus is a good starting point for finding articles on almost any topic. It is a multidisciplinary database covering the sciences, engineering, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanities fields. Scopus contains millions of peer-reviewed journals, selected articles from trade journals, book chapters, edited volumes, reference works, conference papers and patents. It is also an excellent database for cited reference searching. Its contents are updated daily
