Abstrackr is an open and free software developed by Brown University. It helps you upload and organize the results of a literature search for a systematic review. It also makes it possible for your team to screen, organize, and manipulate all of your abstracts in one place.

Covidence is a paid, not-for-profit service dedicated to improving the use of evidence in healthcare decision-making. Covidence was designed to increase the efficiency during the screening process, providing templates for data extraction, risk of bias assessment and improve collaboration.

DistillerSR systematic review software manages, tracks, and streamlines the screening, data extraction, and reporting processes of your systematic reviews and literature reviews, letting you focus on delivering the best possible evidence-based research, faster.

EPPI-Reviewer 4 is a paid software developed and maintained by the EPPI-Centre at the Social Science Research Unit of the UCL Institute of Education, University of London, UK. It is for all types of literature review, including systematic reviews, meta-analyses, 'narrative' reviews and meta-ethnographies.

The GRADEpro Guideline Development Tool (GDT) is the software used to create Summary of Findings (SoF) tables in Cochrane systematic reviews.

JBI SUMARI supports the entire review process, from drafting your protocol, study selection, critical appraisal, data extraction and synthesis.

Nested Knowledge offers a comprehensive software platform for systematic literature review and meta-analysis. The software is composed of two parts which work in tandem. Search, screen, tag and extract data with AutoLit. Visualize, analyze, publish and share insights with Synthesis.

OpenMeta[Analyst] is an open-source, cross-platform, point and click tool to perform advanced meta-analysis.

A systematic review platform that leverages artificial intelligence to automate tasks such as deduplication, identifying study type, highlighting relevant keywords, finding, and uploading full-text articles, and predicting articles eligibility for inclusion.

Rayyan is a web application developed by the Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) to help systematic review authors perform their job in a quick, easy and enjoyable fashion. Rayyan also has a mobile app.

RevMan Web is the web-based platform used for preparing and maintaining Cochrane Reviews. NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Research Support Unit (RSU) has obtained institutional licence for this software to support researchers in NUS for non-Cochrane reviews.

Current NUS Staff and students can register the full version at https://subscribe.cochrane.org/. Please follow the instruction as follows to register.

1. Click on "Pricing and Subscription" button
2. Click on the “log in” button when you see "Please log in to see all applicable accounts”
3. On the Cochrane Account login screen, enter your username and password if you already have an account if you already register an account with Cochrane.
4. If you do not have a Cochrane Account, please select SIGN UP NOW. Please use your NUS email account for Username, otherwise, it will not work.
5. Complete the account sign-up form and await an email with a link to verify your account.
6. When you click on the verification link in the email, you will be redirected to Cochrane RevMan
7. In Cochrane RevMan, select Accept Invitation to access.
8. Upon successful log in, you can create a new review by clicking My Reviews>My Portfolio>New Review
Note: After creating a new review, you will see the expiry date as 29 Nov 2025.   Please be assured that any reviews created before our next subscription cycle (30/11/2025 to 29/11/2026) will be saved in each student's Portfolio.  To view your original reviews, you can simply resubscribe to RevMan using your NUS email address.  Should you need further clarifications, please email Rafika (medrbs@nus.edu.sg) from Medicine Dean's Office.

SRDR Plus (The Systematic Review Data Repository: Plus) is a tool developed by Brown University for extracting, managing, and archiving data. It is an open and searchable archive of systematic reviews and their data.

From Bond University. The CREBP Systematic Review Accelerator (SRA) is a free, purpose built platform to speed up multiple steps in the Systematic Review (SR) process. The SRA is a modular design which means the tools can be incorporated into existing SR workflows and combined with other automation tools.
