To get started, you may wish to find more information about John Cage. You can use Oxford Music Online to learn about him.

Click on the 'Databases' tab.
Type Oxford Music Online in the search box on the page 'Search within Databases'.
Click Campus Login if you are on campus.
If you are at home, select your network domain using the dropdown menu and key in your user ID and password. Then click Login.
You will see the next page ‘Appropriate Use Policy’ which you need to read and agree that the information you access is for your own study and research. You must also agree not to download excessive information due to licensing agreements the Library has with the publishers. Click ‘I accept’ to proceed.
You will see the Oxford Music Online home page. In the search box, type 'John Cage' and click at the magnifying glass.
On the left panel on the next page, you can select 'Biographical Article' by checking the box and clicking 'Update'.
By way of illustration, click the first article. You will then see a biographical article on John Cage.
At the end of the article, a list of his works will be shown.
At the Oxford Music Online search box in this page, you can try typing your chosen composer and click Search.
