A guide to doing research on Percussion music: Sound Recordings

Sound Recordings

You may wish to listen to sound recordings on the percussion music of John Cage as part of your research, and can use Naxos Music Library to do so.

Using Naxos Music Library

Click on the 'Databases' tab.

 

Type Naxos Music Library in the search box on the page 'Search within Databases'.

At the Appropriate Use of E-Resources Licensed by NUS Libraries page, check the box after reading the information and click on 'NUS Staff/Student/CFS'.

Next, sign in using NUSNET ID and password and proceed with your search.

You will see the Naxos Music Library home page. In the search box, type 'John Cage' and click at the magnifying glass.

If there are too many results, you may want to use 'Advanced Search' at the top right of the page, enter Cage in the 'Composer (Surname first)' search box, and Percussion under 'Work Title'. Then click on Search.

Remember to click Log Out at the top of the page when you have finished searching the database.
